What this site does

Somebody posts a request for dashcam footage with an amount attached. Somebody who may have that footage claims it. We pass each side the other's contact details and take no further part. The clip goes directly from one to the other, and the payment does too.

What we are not

• Not an escrow. No money passes through us. We cannot refund, release, or recover a payment, because we never hold one.
• Not a custodian of evidence. We make no claim about chain of custody or whether footage is admissible anywhere. If that matters to your case, speak to your own lawyer before relying on anything from here.
• Not a verifier. We do not check that a request is genuine, that footage exists, that it shows what somebody says it shows, or that either party is who they say they are.
• Not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. We describe Tesla vehicles because that is the hardware this site is about. Nothing here is endorsed by or connected to them.

Using it fairly

• Post real requests about real incidents. Do not post to find out where somebody lives, works, or drives.
• Do not use this to stalk, harass, or trace a person, or to gather footage of somebody rather than of an event.
• Only share footage you are entitled to share, and only what you are willing to share.
• Do not scrape the board, and do not post on behalf of somebody without their say-so.
• One request per incident. Flooding the board gets an address rate-limited.

We can take down a listing and refuse service to anybody, and we will do so without much deliberation where a request looks like surveillance rather than a genuine incident.

Money

The bounty is what the poster says the footage is worth to them. It is between the two parties: the amount, the method, and the timing. Posting and claiming are free at the moment. We intend to take a percentage later and we will say so plainly before we do, not by quietly editing this page.

Liability, in the plainest terms we can manage

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, that a request will be answered, that footage will exist, or that anybody will pay. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens between two parties who met here, including footage that turns out to be useless, payment that does not arrive, or a claim that fails.

Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by agreement, and none of this is legal advice.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change is significant — a fee, or anything about how contact details are shared — we will tell the people it affects rather than relying on you re-reading this.
